Architect
Construct a mansion from detailed plans in this action orientated communication game.
Architect simulates a typical working environment with many departments required to interact effectively in order to achieve a common goal.
Ideal as a conference breakout session the architect is impactful, enjoyable and highly relevant to the tensions found in the modern workplace.
Objectives
This team building format requires clear communication, the ability to delegate and a determined mind in order to transform intricate blue prints into an accurate, physical structure.
The Activity
Each team of up to 10 is briefed and split into departments. Each department is responsible for various aspects of the construction process with job roles including Architects, Suppliers, Builders and Runners.
Working within a tight timeframe, the departments must communicate effectively as information from detailed architectural plans is based down the chain towards the building department.
At the end of the session the output from all of the partaking teams is compared both to the plans and each other to determine the winner. The Architect is an enjoyable team game with a serious underlying message.
