What better way to freshen your delegates than a group of genuine Maori Warriors bursting into your conference room and performing the world famous Haka?!

Objectives

EML uses the Haka to refresh conference delegates. The energy and physicality of this format enlivens the participants and treats guests to a memorable highlight to your conference.

The Activity

The event begins with a highly charged rendition of one of the most intimidating war dances in history. In full, traditional Maori dress our male and female warriors will scream, shout and gesticulate at your startled delegates in an unforgettable performance.

After the conclusion of the Haka, the lead Maori will give a short history of the war dance before inviting your delegates to have a go. Working in smaller groups the delegates will be taught both the distinctive moves and the ancient wording to the Haka.

The event culminates with everyone performing the dance simultaneously.
